Gamco, Gabelli buy shares of Corning Natural Gas

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 24 - Investors led by Gamco Asset Management Inc. and Gabelli Funds, LLC increased their stake in Corning Natural Gas Corp. to 23.47% from 18.45% with the purchase of an additional 77,702 shares of the company's stock.

The shares were purchased on Aug. 30, 2007, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors beneficially own 202,293 shares of the Corning, N.Y., natural gas utility company's outstanding stock.
