By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, Mo., June 18 - Price talk of 12½%-12¾% emerged Tuesday on Copamex SA de CV's upcoming offering of $200 million senior notes due 2009 (B2/BB-/BB), according to a syndicate source. The deal will price Wednesday.

Salomon Smith Barney is the bookrunner on the Rule 144A bullets.

Proceeds will be used to repay debt including refinancing its $200 million of outstanding 11 3/8% senior notes due 2004 via an exchange offer for these new seven-year unsecured notes and/or through a cash tender offer.

The issuer is a Monterrey, Mexico-headquartered producer of paper-based products.
