Moody's: Consol unaffected

Moody's Investors Service said that the ratings of Consol Energy Inc. are not immediately affected by the company's recent announcements that it sold its non-producing assets in Northern Powder River Basin for $170 million in cash, and that it will idle its Fola mining operations in Central Appalachia, which will reduce 2012 coal production by roughly 800,000 tons.
