Collins & Aikman reports $2.15 million operating profit for November

Washington, Dec. 23 - Collins & Aikman Corp. reported a $2.15 million operating profit for November on sales of $163.63 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The performance was down from a $14.17 million operating profit in October on sales of $199.71 million.

The net loss for November was $979,000 compared with a net profit of $13.22 million in October.

Cash at Nov. 30 was $81.40 million, up from $50.25 million on Oct. 31.

Collins & Aikman, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive company, filed for Chapter 11 on May 17, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. The case number is 05-55927.
