Collectors Universe investor buys 309,500 shares for 4.9% interest

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 30 - Collectors Universe Inc. investors led by the Marlin Sams Fund, LP bought 309,500 shares of the company's stock between Sept. 5 and Nov. 20 priced from $5.13 to $9.00 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

Marlin Sams beneficially owns 372,500 shares, or 4.9%, of the Santa Ana, Calif., collectibles company's outstanding stock.
