S&P assigns Coca-Cola notes A+

S&P said it assigned its A+ rating to Coca-Cola Co.'s proposed senior unsecured notes due 2027, 2030, 2040, 2050 and 2060 (final amounts to be determined).

The notes will be issued by the group's parent company and rank equally with other senior unsecured debt.

The company will use the net proceeds from this issuance for general corporate purposes, including to repay debt and enhance its liquidity.

“All of our existing ratings on the company, including our A+ long-term issuer credit rating, are unchanged,” said S&P in a press release.

The outlook is negative.
