China Southern Airlines seeks approval to issue debt instruments

Chicago, April 8 – China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. is seeking shareholder approval to issue debt financing instruments, according to a notice regarding an upcoming annual general meeting.

The debt financing instruments may include corporate bonds, ultra-short-term financing bills, short-term financing bills and midterm notes.

Debt may be issued by the company or any of its controlled or wholly owned subsidiaries.

Tenors may not be more than 15 years, if approved.

Proceeds will be used for meeting demands of the company’s production and operations, adjusting its debt structure, replenishing working capital and/or investments in projects.

The airline is based in Guangzhou, China.
