BlackRock Advisors announces details on preferred share redemptions

Lexington, Ky., Nov. 3 – BlackRock Advisors, LLC provided details for the redemption of preferred shares issued by nine trusts, according to a press release.

The following trusts intend to redeem a portion of their outstanding series W-7 variable-rate muni term preferred shares on or about Nov. 24:

• The BlackRock Municipal Income Trust will redeem 1,167 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 09248F703);

• The BlackRock Investment Quality Municipal Trust, Inc. will redeem 581 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 09247D501);

• The BlackRock Municipal Income Trust II will redeem 1,286 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 09249N606);

• The BlackRock Municipal Income Quality Trust will redeem 396 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 092479500);

• The BlackRock MuniHoldings Fund, Inc. will redeem 1,338 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 09253N500);

• The BlackRock MuniYield Quality Fund II, Inc. will redeem 379 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 09254G603);

• The BlackRock MuniHoldings Quality Fund II, Inc. will redeem 530 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 09254C503);

• The BlackRock MuniVest Fund, Inc. will redeem 902 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 09253R808); and

• The BlackRock MuniVest Fund II, Inc. will redeem 623 shares of its outstanding preferreds (Cusip: 09253T606).

The liquidation price is $100,000 per share plus accumulated dividends to the redemption date.

Shareholders are expected to benefit from lower expenses as a result of the redemptions, according to the press release.
