Fitch rates Bank of Ceylon notes BB-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BB- rating to Bank of Ceylon's $500 million 6 7/8% senior unsecured notes due 2017.

This follows the completion of the notes issue and the receipt of documents conforming to information previously received.

The final rating is the same as the expected rating assigned in April, the agency said.

The notes are rated at the same level as the bank's BB- long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating.

The bank also has a long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating of BB-, long-term local-currency issuer default rating of BB-, dollar-denominated senior unsecured notes rating of BB-, viability rating of B+, national long-term rating of AA+(lka) and subordinated debentures rating of AA(lka).
