Arena Group, noteholder enter forbearance over missed interest payment

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Jan. 5 – Arena Group Holdings, Inc. and Renew Group Private Ltd. as holder of Arena’s $110,691,000 of notes issued in December 2022 entered on Friday into a forbearance period through March 29, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The forbearance relates to Arena’s failure to make the $2,797,000 interest payment due on the notes on Dec. 29.

The company and the noteholder are in discussions to restructure and/or amend the notes.

The forbearance period is subject to Arena retaining a third-party financial restructuring firm.

Arena Group is a tech-powered media company that is based in New York.
