AIG plans to price add-on to existing 4.5% senior notes due 2044

Virginia Beach, Oct. 9 – American International Group Inc. is planning to price an add-on to its existing 4.5% senior notes due July 16, 2044, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
The original $1.5 billion of 4.5% 30-year bonds sold with a spread of Treasuries plus 117 basis points on July 9.
BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC are the bookrunners.
The insurance company is based in New York City.
