India’s Axis Bank may sell Rs. 35 billion of subordinated perpetuals

Chicago, Dec. 12 – Axis Bank Ltd. notified the Bombay Stock Exchange that it is proposing to issue up to Rs. 35 billion of series 26 unsecured subordinated perpetual debentures.
The tier 1 notes would be Basel 3 compliant and issued with a face value of Rs. 1 million each, according to a notice.
The bank is based in Mumbai.
