Armenia begins tender offer for up to $200 million of 6% notes due 2020

Chicago, March 12 – The Republic of Armenia, acting through the Ministry of Finance, said it began a tender offer for up to $200 million of its $700 million 6% notes due 2020.

The purchase price will be par plus accrued interest.

The tender offer will end at 5 p.m. ET on March 18, with payment following on March 26.

Armenia is carrying out the tender offer concurrently with a new notes offering in order to extend the weighted average maturity of its public debt, while also preserving the liquidity of its public debt, according to a press release.

The tender offer is conditioned on the issue of new notes.
