Anthracite Capital bankruptcy estate fully administered by trustee

Pittsburgh, Feb. 26 – Anthracite Capital, Inc.’s Chapter 7 trustee said the company’s estate has been fully administered, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Chapter 7 trustee Albert Togut said $83.74 million was distributed to claimants.

Of $121.81 million in total property liquidation proceeds, $54.21 million went to secured creditors, $38.07 million went for trustee administrative fees and charges, $5,092 went to priority unsecured creditors, and $29.52 million went to general unsecured creditors.

Anthracite Capital, a New York specialty finance company focused on investments in high-yield commercial real estate loans and related securities, filed for bankruptcy protection on March 15, 2010. Its Chapter 7 case number is 10-11319.
