S&P: America Movil notes A-

Standard & Poor's said it assigned the global scale A- and national scale mxAAA issue-level ratings to America Movil SAB de CV's senior unsecured notes for up to Ps.10 billion due 2019 and for up to Ps.15 million due 2024.

These notes represent the second and third issuances under the company's Ps.100 billion senior unsecured notes program.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, S&P said.

The ratings reflect the company's strong business risk profile and modest financial risk profile, the agency said.

The company has a strong competitive position based on its leading market position and strong brand recognition in most markets where it operates, S&P said.

The ratings also consider the highly competitive and regulatory pressures in many of the company's service areas, the agency said.
