aaiPharma trustee appoints creditors committee

Pittsburgh, May 24 - aaiPharma, Inc.'s U.S. Trustee appointed the official committee of unsecured creditors for the company's Chapter 11 cases, according to a filing Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee includes:

*Frank Harkins of Roxane Laboratories, Inc., Ridgefield, Conn.

*Steven Hatala of Novartis Pharmaceuticals, East Hanover, N.J.

*Harry Chamberlain of AmerisourceBergen, Chesterbrook, Pa.

*Fine Chemicals Corp., Capetown, South Africa; and

*Evan Kornrick of TMP Worldwide, New York.

aaiPharma, a Wilmington, N.C., pharmaceutical company, filed for bankruptcy on May 12. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-11341.
