S&P: Agilent outlook stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on Agilent Technologies Inc. to stable from positive and affirmed its BBB- corporate credit rating.

"The outlook revision reflects our expectation that Agilent's credit metrics will continue to weaken near term as a result of the significant contraction in global manufacturing demand experienced since late 2008, making a higher corporate credit rating unlikely at this time," S&P analyst Susan Madison said in a statement.
