Wickes selects agent to hold going-out-of-business sales

Pittsburgh, Feb. 29 - Wickes Holdings, LLC was granted court approval to hold going-out-of-business sales in connection with the sale of substantially all of the company's assets, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
A joint venture made up of Hilco Merchant Resources, LLC, Tiger Capital Group, LLC, SB Capital Group, LLC and Planned Furniture Promotions, Inc. will conduct the store closing sales.
The sales will include the company's inventory, furniture and related equipment.
The sales were expected to begin on Feb. 29, according to the filing.
Wickes, a Wheeling, Ill., furniture retailer, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 3. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10212.
