Wickes exclusivity extended by three months to aid dispute resolution

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., Dec. 15 - Wickes Holdings, LLC obtained a third extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The exclusive plan-filing period was extended to Feb. 28 from Nov. 30 and the solicitation period to April 29 from Jan. 29.

In its motion requesting the extension, Wickes said it needed to resolve a dispute in connection with one remaining non-residential real property lease and sell the interests in the related property before it can file a plan.

Wickes, a Wheeling, Ill., furniture retailer, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 3, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10212.
