Weyerhaeuser registers automatic shelf for debt securities, shares

New York, June 4 - Weyerhaeuser Co. registered an automatic shelf covering debt securities, preferred shares, common shares, warrants, stock purchase contracts, stock purchase units and depositary shares in an S-3ASR with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds are earmarked for general corporate purposes.

Weyerhaeuser is a timber company based in Federal Way, Wash.
