Fitch revises Ventas outlook to stable

Fitch Ratings said it changed its outlook for Ventas, Inc. to stable from negative and affirmed its long-term issuer default ratings and unsecured debt ratings at BBB+.

The outlook reflects both the better trajectory and strength of the senior housing recovery, which Fitch said it believes will result in leverage (on a most recent quarter annualized basis) rebounding to historical levels over the next one to two years.

“The ratings outlook revision also incorporates Fitch's belief that management is committed to reducing leverage below 6x over the next one to two years,” the agency said in a press release.
