Mexico’s TV Azteca buys back $42.5 million of 7˝% notes due 2018

Chicago, March 15 – TV Azteca SAB de CV bought back $42.5 million of its $300 million 7˝% senior notes due 2018.

The notes were repurchased using cash generated from operations, according to a company announcement.

The repurchased notes were canceled.

“The transaction reflects the solid financial performance in TV Azteca, and the firm commitment of the company to reduce the full amount of dollar-denominated debt to strengthen its capital structure,” the release noted.

Mexico City-based TV Azteca is the second-largest television broadcaster in Mexico.
