S&P: Town Sports on positive watch

Standard & Poor's said it revised its CreditWatch implications on Town Sports International Holdings Inc. and operating subsidiary Town Sports International Inc. to positive from developing. Both companies have a corporate credit rating of B.

The company's senior unsecured debt at CCC+ is also on positive watch.

The agency noted that it originally placed the ratings on CreditWatch with developing implications on July 1, after Town Sports disclosed that it was exploring strategic alternatives, which include a possible sale of the company or IPO.
