Municipal Electric Authority, Ga., bonds subject to mandatory tender

By Ashley Montgomery

Kansas City, Kan., Feb. 24 - The Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia's series 2008B project one subordinated bonds are subject to mandatory tender, according to a notice.

The mandatory tender is the result of a planned substitution of the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.'s letter of credit as liquidity support for the credit facility and liquidity facility currently in effect on the bonds.

The bonds are therefore subject to mandatory tender on the date of substitution, March 9.

The price will be at par plus accrued interest to the purchase date.

The bonds were issued in 2008 in the principal amount of $148,065,000.

Bank of New York Mellon is the agent.
