S&P gives Tyco notes A-

S&P said it gave an A- issue-level rating to Tyco Electronics Group SA's planned dollar-denominated senior unsecured notes.

The A- issue-level rating reflects that the notes are guaranteed by Tyco’s parent, TE Connectivity Ltd., and rank equally with the outstanding senior unsecured notes in its capital structure, S&P said.

The company is expected to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.
