SunTrust Robinson adds Resnick, Longmuir to high-yield trading group

Minneapolis, May 21 – SunTrust Robinson Humphrey hired Jeffrey Resnick as managing director and Jeffery Longmuir as director in its high-yield trading group, according to a press release.

Both will be based in New York City and will report to Michael Smith, managing director and head of the high-yield group.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Resnick joins from RBC Capital Markets Corp., where he was a producing manager responsible for trading multiple sectors, including energy, healthcare, gaming and lodging, aerospace and defense, autos and auto parts. Before RBC, he spent 13 years at Nationsbank and Bank of America.

Longmuir has 14 years of industry experience as both a credit analyst and distressed trader. He comes from Barclays Capital Inc.’s distressed credit desk where he traded distressed corporate loans, bonds, equity and credit default swaps. Prior to that, he worked in Barclay Capital’s Portfolio Solutions Group.
