Goldman plans five-year leveraged buffered notes tied to S&P 500

Chicago, July 30 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due Aug. 31, 2023 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.18 to 1.28 times any index gain, with the exact participation rate to be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.
The notes will price on Aug. 28.
The Cusip number is 40055QPE6.
