S&P rates Scripps notes A-

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its A- issue-level rating to Scripps Networks Interactive Inc.'s proposed $500 million senior unsecured notes.

At the same time, the agency said it affirmed all existing ratings on the company, including the A- corporate credit rating. The outlook is stable.

"Our rating and stable outlook on Scripps Networks reflects the company's good EBITDA margin and strong discretionary cash flow from a relatively small portfolio of ad-supported cable TV networks, anchored by HGTV, Food Network, and the Travel Channel," said S&P credit analyst Deborah Kinzer in a news release.
