New Issue: Scotiabank prices $5.69 million contingent income autocallables on Nasdaq, Russell, S&P

By William Gullotti

Buffalo, N.Y., March 15 – Bank of Nova Scotia priced $5.69 million of contingent income autocallable securities due March 11, 2027 linked to the Nasdaq-100 index, the Russell 2000 index and the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The securities will pay a contingent quarterly coupon at an annualized rate of 8.3% if each underlying index closes at or above the 70% downside threshold on the related observation date.

If each underlying index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly determination date after one year, the securities will be redeemed at par plus the contingent coupon.

If the worst performing index finishes at or above the 70% downside threshold, the payout at maturity will be par plus the final coupon.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the worst performing index declines from initial level.
