Residential Capital examiner now expects to file report in early April

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Nov. 26 - Residential Capital, LLC's court-appointed examiner needs more time to submit the report of his findings, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, examiner Arthur J. Gonzalez said he now plans to deliver his report in early April.

According to the filing, document production from "primary producing parties" is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, and witness interviews and depositions are expected to be mostly completed by Feb. 28.

In July, Gonzalez said he originally expected to file his report in six months.

Residential Capital, a New York-based real estate finance company, filed for bankruptcy on May 14, 2012. The case number is 12-12020.
