New York, June 28 - The Reserve Bank of India sold a total of Rs. 3.5 billion in two tranches of Treasury bills on Wednesday.
The bank sold Rs. 2 billion of 91-day bills at 98.44 to yield 6.3563%. Of the 53 competitive bids received, eight bids were accepted. One non-competitive bid was also accepted. The weighted average price was 98.45.
The bank also sold Rs. 1.5 billion of 182-day bills at 96.73 to yield 6.7797%. Of the 39 competitive bids received, 15 bids were accepted. There was one non-competitive bid accepted. The weighted average price was 96.74.
