By Rebecca Melvin

New York, Sept. 16 – Brazil’s Petroleo Brasileiro SA announced the result of an exchange offer for its 5.093% global notes due 2030, issued by its wholly owned subsidiary Petrobras Global Finance BV, according to a company announcement on Wednesday.

Holders of $4,037,681,000 of notes, or about 98% of the issue, tendered prior to the 5 p.m. ET deadline on Sept. 15. All of the notes validly tendered have been accepted and will be exchanged for new notes that are substantially identical to the old notes except for terms with respect to additional interest payments.

The settlement is expected to occur on Sept. 17.

The Bank of New York Mellon (212 815-4259) acted as the exchange agent for the exchange.

The energy company is based in Rio de Janeiro.
