S&P affirms Prudential Financial

S&P said it affirmed Prudential Financial Inc.’s A issuer rating and removed the rating from CreditWatch where it was placed with negative implications on Nov. 17.

The outlook is stable.

“The implementation of our revised criteria for analyzing insurers' risk-based capital supported our view that the Prudential group maintains a very strong capital position, a view which we have held in recent years,” S&P said in a press release.
