National Envelope seeks three-month extension to exclusive periods

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Savannah, Ga., April 4 - National Envelope Corp. requested a three-month extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend the exclusive plan-filing period to July 5 from April 6 and the solicitation period to Sept. 6 from June 6.

National Envelope said it has devoted most of its time and resources over the past months to completing the sale of substantially all of its assets.

The company said it has drafted a plan of liquidation.

A hearing is scheduled for April 27.

National Envelope, a Uniondale, N.Y.-based envelope manufacturing company, filed for bankruptcy on June 10, 2010. Its Chapter 11 case number is 10-11890.
