Lehman Brothers International (Europe) extends claim resolution offer

Pittsburgh, Jan. 12 - Lehman Brothers International (Europe) has made a further offer under its claim resolution agreement to clients who were not able to submit acceptance forms over the holidays, according to a company news release.
Lehman said a number of clients had logistical issues over the holiday period.
Under the extended offer, acceptance forms must be submitted by Jan. 21.
As previously reported, the claim resolution agreement was declared effective on Dec. 29.
The claims resolution agreement is a multilateral contract between Lehman Brothers International Europe and its clients, which governs the basis on which assets can be returned.
New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
