Los Angeles, May 18 – Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Finance placed KZT 64,277,300,000 of short-term treasury bonds (Mekkam-12, 148th issue) at a special trading session held on Friday, according to a Kazakhstan Stock Exchange notice.
The bonds were sold at a weighted average price of 90.2639, corresponding to a weighted average yield of 10.7863%.
The amount of accepted orders represents 128.6% of the issuer’s planned placement of KZT 50 billion of bonds.
The ask exceeded the bid by almost two times, with active orders totaling KZT 99.4 billion, according to a press release.
The ministry last placed short-term treasury bonds in August 2014.
