By Mary-Katherine Stinson

Lexington, Ky., Aug. 31 – Ichigo’s wholly owned consolidated special purpose company initiated a new commitment line on Aug. 31 via Shinsei Bank’s green loan program providing a maximum loan amount of ¥3.9 billion, according to a notice.

The repayment date is Jan. 31, 2025.

The green loan was assessed according to the four components of the green bond and loan principles which are use of proceeds for green projects, sustainability and social contribution initiatives, management of proceeds and reporting

The loan will be used for construction of the Ichigo Ebino Suenaga ECO Power Plant in Ebino City, Japan. It has a planned operational start date in January 2024.

Ichigo is a Japanese sustainable infrastructure company.
