New Issue: Morgan Stanley sells $1.21 million buffered PLUS on index, ETF basket

Minneapolis, May 1 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC priced $1.21 million of 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due April 16, 2021 linked to a basket of two indexes and one exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

The basket consists of the S&P 500 index with a 40% weight, Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 40% weight and the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund with a 20% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 121.25% of any basket gain.

If the basket finishes flat or falls by up to 20%, the payout will be par.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 20%, subject to a minimum payment of $200 per buffered PLUS.
