New Issue: Morgan Stanley prices $2.2 million participation notes linked to ETFs

Tacoma, Wash., Oct. 27 - Morgan Stanley priced $2.2 million of 0% participation securities due Oct. 27, 2014 linked to a basket of exchange-traded funds, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket includes the SPDR S&P 500 ETF trust, the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets index fund and the iShares MSCI EAFE index fund.

The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus the basket return, which could be positive or negative. The notes are not principal protected.

The ETF with the best performance will be given a 60% weight in the basket, the ETF with the second-best performance will be given a 40% weight, and the ETF with the worst performance will be given a weight of zero.
