S&P lifts International Lease from junk

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed the BBB- corporate credit rating on International Lease Finance Corp.

The agency also said it upgraded the rating on the company's senior unsecured debt to BBB- from BB+ since the proportion of secured debt in the company's capital structure will increase materially, S&P said.

The outlook was revised to stable from negative.

The agency also said it affirmed the agency's other issuer ratings.

The outlook revision reflects the company's improved liquidity position following recent financings, S&P said.

The ratings also consider the company's position as one of the two largest global aircraft lessors, its significant progress in addressing large debt maturities in 2011 and 2012 and an expectation of continued satisfactory cash generation in an improving aviation market, the agency said.
