Insilco Technologies seeks extension to voting deadline

By Jeff Pines

Washington, April 19 - Insilco Technologies Inc. wants the April 19 voting deadline for its liquidation plan extended because not all of the creditors entitled to vote received their solicitation packages by Feb. 23.

In an April 19 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Insilco said it had no reason to believe the creditors who said they did not receive the packages on time were acting in bad faith.

A May 26 hearing is scheduled.

The company filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 16, 2002. Insilco's Chapter 11 case number is 02-13672.
