Imperial Capital adds Wilson as head of leveraged finance in New York

Chicago, Feb. 27 – Imperial Capital, LLC said it has hired William Wilson as managing director, head of leveraged finance in the investment banking group based in New York.

Wilson joins the firm from Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc., where he was managing director and co-head of the debt capital markets group. He has 24 years of experience in leveraged finance, according to a company announcement. At Stifel, Nicolaus, Wilson managed a team that structured and distributed private loans and bonds and he led the origination efforts for the energy, retail and consumer products, gaming, shipping and specialty finance sectors.

Before Stifel, he was a managing director in the capital markets group at CRT Capital LLC. He has also worked at UBS Securities, Bear Stearns & Co, and Credit Suisse/DLJ.

Wilson has an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird Global School of Management at Arizona State University and an M.A. from Magdalene College, University of Cambridge.
