Moody’s reviews Express Scripts

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the Baa2 senior unsecured long-term ratings of Express Scripts Holding Co. and its subsidiaries under review with direction uncertain.

At the same time, the agency placed the Prime-2 commercial paper rating under review for downgrade.

Moody’s said the action follows the announcement Cigna Corp. will acquire Express Scripts in a transaction valued at roughly $67 billion.

The review of Express Scripts is linked to the review of Cigna.
