Excel Trust preps offering of senior notes due 2024

Virginia Beach, May 7 - Excel Trust LP is planning to sell an offering of senior notes due 2024, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Barclays, Wells Fargo Securities LLC, KeyBanc Capital Markets LLC and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are the joint bookrunners.

The notes will be guaranteed by Excel Trust, Inc.

Proceeds will be used to repay existing debt, for general corporate purposes and for working capital purposes.

Excel Trust is a San Diego-based real estate investment trust focused on retail properties.
