Endo International mediation extended through June 16

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., May 31 – Endo International plc will continue mediating through June 16, according to a status report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Retired judge Shelley C. Chapman, who is acting as mediator, decided to extend the mediation since negotiations are ongoing among parties with whom a settlement hasn’t been achieved yet.

Given the ongoing negotiations, Chapman believes it is in the best interest of all stakeholders to continue mediation through mid-June.

As previously reported, the company has reached settlements through the mediation with the official committee of unsecured creditors and the official committee of opioid claimants, and now has their support for a restructuring deal that would allow for the sale to the first-lien lenders.

Endo is a Dublin, Ireland-based specialty pharmaceutical company that filed bankruptcy on Aug. 16, 2022. The Chapter 11 case number is 22-22549.
