Elekta sets up sustainability-linked bond framework under MTN program

By Marisa Wong

Los Angeles, Oct. 29 – Elekta said it established a sustainability-linked bond framework for issues of sustainability-linked bonds under its medium-term note program.

Elekta is among the first companies in Sweden to establish this type of investment framework for bonds, according to a press release.

The company’s sustainability focus is coupled with increasing global access to cancer care.

Elekta is selecting increased access to radiotherapy in underserved markets, measured by the number of linear accelerators, as a key performance indicator.

Danske Bank acted as advisor for the sustainability-linked bond framework.

Elekta is a radiation therapy company based in Stockholm.
