New Issue: Merrill prices $24.79 million Stars on S&P 500 for Eksportfinans

New York, Feb. 14 - Eksportfinans ASA priced $24.79 million of 0% Strategic Accelerated Redemption Securities due Feb. 21, 2012 linked to the S&P 500 index via Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index level on any observation date is greater than or equal to the initial level, the notes will be automatically called and investors will receive par of $10 plus an annualized call premium of 7.5%.

If the notes are not called prior to maturity, investors will receive par if the final index level is at least 95% of the initial level and will share fully in any losses beyond the threshold.
