Dana posts $110 million August loss from operations

Portland, Ore., Sept. 28 - Dana Corp. reported a $110 million loss from operations on $739 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In July, the company posted an $11 million income from operations on $659 million in net sales.

The net loss for August was $103 million. The company posted July net income of $11 million.

Cash and cash equivalents at Aug. 31 were $1.071 billion, compared with $1.078 billion at the end of July.

Dana, a Toledo, Ohio-based supplier of components, modules and systems to vehicle manufacturers and related aftermarkets, filed for bankruptcy on March 3, 2006 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10354.
