Chicago, April 16 – Companhia Energetica de Minas Gerais (Cemig) announced the public distribution of sustainable debentures in two parts (//AA+(bra)) in a 6-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company issued R$400 million five-year debentures with interest based on CDI plus 80 basis points. Amortization will be in the 48th and 60th months.
The second series is for R$1.6 billion of 10-year debentures. Interest will be based on IPCA plus 614.69 bps. Amortization will be in the 96th, 108th and 120th months.
The issuer is Cemig Distribuicao SA.
Proceeds will be used to recompose the company’s cash position, comprising but not limited to, its operations and reimbursement of investments, expenses, and expenditures incurred by it, including projects involving social and environmental matters.
Based in Belo Horizonte, Cemig is a Brazilian power company.
