Consumers Energy gets $200 million letter-of-credit facility

New York, Dec. 6 - Consumers Energy Co. closed on a new $200 million short-term letter-of-credit reimbursement agreement, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Thursday.

Bank of Nova Scotia acted as the lead bank on the deal that was completed on Nov. 30.

The letters-of-credit drawn under this facility will be secured by first-mortgage bonds of the company.

Consumers is a Jackson, Mich.-based energy company.
